Why I like shooting USPSA matches:
I've always enjoyed any type of competition. USPSA pushes me as an individual, both mentally and physically. Every match delivers new challenges; the combination of accuracy and speed really keeps me on my toes and offers a true test of my shooting abilities. I've also met a lot of nice people and made some great friends. One of the great things about USPSA is that no matter what match you attend anywhere in the United States, there's probably someone that you've met or shot with before and it's always a fun time to renew those acquaintances and solidify friendships. I really value my time off from work and love to shoot matches with my friends.
What I would additionally like you to know about me:
Shooting has become a big part of my life, especially in the last four years. I have the privilege of learning from and training with my boyfriend, Todd Jarrett, and I while I owe much of my success to him, I’ve worked very hard to get where I am. During every practice and every match, I look for ways I can develop my skills, fine-tuning strengths and working on weaknesses. Just like most other USPSA members, I juggle matches and practice with a full time job. I take shooting very seriously but I constantly remind myself that, as my hobby, it’s above all supposed to be fun. I’m having a blast and plan to continue for as long as I can!
My favorite USPSA event is:
One of my favorite places to shoot is at one of our local clubs in Oxford, North Carolina. It's a fantastic match every single month. There are always challenging and fun stages with a good mix of accuracy and speed.
