How I first got into shooting: |
I started shooting a little later than most (I was in my mid 30’s). I started shooting targets, bowling pins and plates at local clubs and then I was introduced to USPSA style shooting at some local matches. I went to a Ladies Camp in 2006 taught by Kay and Julie which really got me hooked by teaching me the fundamentals and building up my confidence. I returned home, bought a custom Open gun and have never looked back! |
My preferred shooting style: |
I am not a speed demon but I do like to shoot fast and try to be as accurate as I can. I love stages with lots of steel. |

Additional Comments: |
A few years ago, I was asked to coordinate a "Ladies Day" at our local gun club. Lady coaches teach the fundamentals of shooting to other women who have never shot before. It was so successful that it has turned into an annual event for the club. Many of the current coaches actually went through the class, learned how to shoot and now pass their knowledge on to others. Everyone has a great time and I can just imagine the conversations that occur at the dinner table when the women show their spouses their targets. Additionally, last year I was elected President of our Local Gun Club and following my term, I was given a life membership which was quite an honor. |
